3 LUCKY BRIDES…

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Today is an exciting day! We have chosen 3 lucky couples that needed help in the registry and home decor department. All deserving. Don’t worry if you weren’t chosen, we will be doing this again, so you can re-enter later! Here are the winning submissions.

WINNER #1: ERIKA Since the day we got engaged, I have been overwhelmed by the thought of registering.  We’ve owned the home we’re in since 2007 and have just about everything we need. When presented with a scan gun, I get nervous (we don’t need that, why are we registering for it) and, as was the case at Macy’s, left after a defunct scan gun allowed us to only scan a handful of items.

Also, my fiance, and I are in the early stages of finding a home for the next part of our life. As we both leave my first house and enter the first house we’ll buy as a couple, home decor is a huge issue. If we decide to move forward with the move, we want to make our current home as appealing to potential buyers as possible as well as make the new house as homey as imaginable. As you can imagine, I’ve rad tons of blogs and checklists on registering for wedding gifts, but beyond a bread machine, crock pot and china, I’m running at a loss! I’d welcome all the help I can get!

WINNER #2: ALANA My Fiancé and I could really benefit from help with registering and decorating our home. We recently purchased a home that was previously decorated in a ”jungle-esque” theme. Who knew you could create jungle in Wisconsin?! The walls are painted in dreary colors and there isn’t a lot of natural light. We’ve been trying to come up with ideas on how to cheer the place up and make it ours. We have ”grand” ideas in our heads but just can’t seem to bring them to life. We would absolutely love to register for things that will help us make the house our home but were hesitant because we just don’t know what we are doing! We’ve made one stab at registering and thought we were prepared. Oh man, were we wrong! I’ve never felt so lost in Target! We’d love some direction and would most appreciative of the help received. Thanks.

WINNER #3: BRITTANY I am desperate for some help. I just got engaged 2 months ago and my fiancé and I are planning on making my 2 bedroom condo in Memphis, TN our home after our wedding in April 2011. I’ve lived there for 3 years with various roommates and it has more of a post-college hand-me-down feel than a newly married home aesthetic. I feel like I can’t hone in and make decisions without guidance and therefore the space has absolutely no continuity from room to room. Please help! Thanks.
